Description

One poor decision will haunt her forever.

Macy Mercer only wants a little independence. Eager to prove herself grown up, she goes to a dark, secluded park. She’s supposed to meet the boy of her dreams who she met online. But the cute fifteen year old was a fantasy, his pictures fake. She finds herself face to face with Chester Woodran, a man capable of murder.

Distraught over his own missing daughter, Chester insists that Macy replace his lost girl. He locks Macy up, withholds food, and roughs her up, demanding that she call him dad. Under duress from his constant threats and mind games, her hold on reality starts to slip. Clinging to her memories is the only way of holding onto her true identity, not believing that she is Chester’s daughter. Otherwise she may never see her family again.

Gone is the first novel in the Gone saga, a trilogy of psychological suspense thrillers. If you enjoy page turning suspense with constant twists and turns, then you'll love this nail-biting read.

This is a beautiful book that should be a required book in schools regarding teen safety and only privacy. I fell in love with Zoey and Alex honestly. I'm buying the next book tomorrow

The characters in the book were well developed but the ending is unfulfilling. It leaves you not wanting to read more......

I haven't finished the entire book, and quite frankly, there's no way I'll be able to. This book is very poorly written--it lacks vivid description, fails to pull you deep into the story, and overall isn't captivating. This might be a good read for younger school kids, but I couldn't see many adults enjoying this.
  • Decent story line but.....

Would have liked to give this novel more stars but the story does not end with this book. It is a series and basically you must purchase the next book (or two) to read to the end. I believe the author says that it's worth it to spend the money to finish.......... So be prepared for no story ending.

So far I am really enjoying the book I'm not going to say anything about the book because I don't want to spoil it for anybody who hasn't read it yet but I would say it's a pretty great book especially for being free.

I thought this was a good book and I can't wait to read the next one. I'm not a big fan of reading or books, but when it comes to "scary" stuff(I don't think anything is scary), I love to read and learn more bout that kind of stuff. P.S. If you like mysteries and thrillers and you have Netflix, check out some horror films and TV shows on there like American Horror Show, Supernatural, Poltergeist, etc. BYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!πŸ”ͺ😘😍🀞🏻
