Another great start to a new series from CD Reiss, Corruptions series. Spin is book one that introduces us to Antonio and Theresa, and because of their union, the fallout that is now their lives. It all starts innocently enough when Antonio when seeing her in a club, saves her from a bathroom faux pas. As much as they try to deny their connection, their pull is even stronger and causes ripples in Antonio's world where he is involved in the Mafia. Those in his world, don't want Theresa in their world, but she is not to be deterred from what Antonio makes her feel, alive for the first time in her life. Their chemistry is suffocating, raw and primal, but as you see the dynamics play out, that is them. I was drawn in from the first chapter, because CD Reiss's words are so descriptive and deliver like poetry, you can actually see yourself right there in their world. Even more this series runs concurrent with her Song of Submission series, and I love the tie ins, and you get more of a glimpse of the Drazen family and the siblings bond. This is absolutely one book you need to read if you don't mind strong, raw sex scenes. The sensuality between them and of course Antonio is a reason all of his own - being an good looking Italian that invokes such strong emotions and you can see the underlying dangerous man, who will do anything to protect those who have meaning in his life, The next two books in the series are Ruin and Rule and you are missing out on an amazing story by and amazing author if you don't want to read it. This is one series that should not be ignored.

Spin took me a bit to get into; first I was like, “what is this and why on earth did I buy it?” I had to go back and read the blurb, because the start of the book is NOT what I normally enjoy; Reiss’ writing style also took a bit getting used to. She likes writing in similes A LOT. “His eyes were black as a felony…” When I first heard that, I was like “WTF?” I moved on; however, the story is chalked full of this type of descriptive writing that doesn’t always make sense, or it makes sense in an abstract way. Not my forte; I’m a straight forward kind of gal, just say his eyes are dark or black, or blue or whatever. I don’t want to have to guess at what you are writing about. This type of story is one of my favorite; I love bad boy stories where the bad boy is so extremely protective and likable you just want to love him. Yet, I didn’t fall in love with Theresa, that much; she kinda got on my nerves., especially with the name calling during sex. I mean what’s with that? Give a guy a complex already. I LOVED Antonio: I just can’t decide if I want them to make it or not, since I haven’t fallen in love with Theresa. With Antonio being the type of man he is; he’s not accustomed to strong independent women and his hands are full with her. I loved how crazy he was for her. Theresa did start to redeem herself towards the end of the story, but I still like Antonio more. Mindy Kennedy did a superb job narrating the story and I will be looking for more work read by her. Overall, Spin is a great start to a new Mafia Romance Series; I have already purchased the second audio book. It’s fast paced, steamy, erotic story with an uber hot Italian bad boy; the accent is sexy too. Yummy!...Sara

I'm happy that I got this for free because I wouldn't pay a penny for it. It didn't draw me in, it didn't leave me wanting more. Kristen Stewart is a better actress than this book. 😱

By far my favorite book by CD Reiss and I love all of this author's novels!!! The only place where I could imagine people marking off is one of the sex scenes that may cause some to get uncomfortable or the occasional blood and gore but it was well written and had a developed story line with dynamic characters. ABSOLUTELY LOVE. WOULD RECOMMEND!
