I read 4 book in a week. And yes I work and have a life. But the more I read I found it hard to put the book down. The first one is by far the best book in the series. I hated the ending but it made me pick up the next book. I will agree with some of the other reviews when it comes to who us talk big in the book. Sometimes you didn't know who was talking and I found myself going back and reading over to find out who was talking. I also thought I was going crazy when I felt some one the sentences were off. I'm not a English major but from reading the reviews I was correct. I'm going to read the last one and hope I get something out of it. I love the relationship between Jack and J.J. And love how it grows to more later on in the series. A must read.

This book was wonderful and well written. The story holds your attention with suspense and the right amount of smoldering tension. I couldn't hardly put it down without hearing the call to read on. All in all, great read and highly recommended for people who love a mystery with witty banter and a lovey twist.
  • Bad ending, but still don't regret reading it

It didn't take me long to read this book because it pulled me in from the beginning and kept me interested. But like most of the reviewers, I found the ending to be weak and disappointing. I was expecting the revelation of the killer to be a real jaw dropping moment, but it turned out to be a character that was barely mentioned, and was accompanied by a totally new side story to justify it. Oh, and did anybody even bother to edit this book??

I got hooked on the Addison Holmes series and then realized that Liliana's giftedness in spinning a tale offered promises too enticing to miss, so I said "einnie, meinnie, miennie, moe" and chose the JJ Graves series for my next fix. I'm glad I did. From the very first chapter Liliana had me hooked again. I'm not going to review the story but rather this author's ability to draw you in and keep you turning pages until all of sudden, The End, appears and you find yourself craving more. Thankfully, she's been at this a few years so the inventory is plentiful. Got to go now. Amazon Kindle is waiting for me to order book two in the JJ Graves series. Why don't you join me and order books 1 & 2 and we can read together? Phil Calkins also known as Doctor Phil in previous Amazon reviews.

Omg I love this book so many surprises. This is really a great book the ending caught me by surprise I wasn't expect the killer to be who it was because you really didn't mention him much but once. Plus it seemed like you just summarized the ending. Other than that amazing book.

I enjoyed the story at the beginning, but when I started stumbling upon grammatical errors and even the use of wrong words, I couldn't help but focus on that instead of the story. I tried to stick it out, ignoring the mistakes, but in the end, I was let down by the abrupt ending of the story. It felt as if the author got bored and decided not to put any more effort into the story. Lame. The story could have gone so much further, with just a little bit of effort. Seems like it's more important to just churn these things out for the money, rather than to deliver a quality product to the public. I won't be purchasing another.

When I first started this book I was unsure because within the first paragraph the fbomb was dropped but the language cleared up and the story emerged. It was suspenseful and kept you guessing until the very end, I will purchase others in this series.
