This book not only opens one to the fundamentals of war, but also some insightful passages that can be applied to one's own life. I would recommend this book to anyone looking to obtain a position of leadership, power, or to take the book critically, and apply its teachings to their livelihood.

Quite an interesting, albeit short, read. Much of Sunzi's writings are valid yet today...thousands of years later. I'm by far "pro war". In fact, I'm of the "Live and let live" school of thought, but I do so enjoy history, and find Asian/Eastern culture almost spellbinding...hence my desire to read this translation. ( I do, however, wonder how much of this book was improperly or impartially translated ) Go ahead and give it a few minutes of your time. You may find it as enjoyable as I did.
