Description

A new standalone from New York Times bestselling authors Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward.

I met Bianca in an elevator.
She was on her way to interview me when we got stuck.
The beautiful, raven-haired reporter assumed I was a delivery guy because of the way I was dressed.
She had no clue I was really Dex Truitt, the wealthy, successful businessman she’d dubbed “Mister Moneybags”—her afternoon appointment.
Bianca told me how much she hated Dex’s type—snobby, over educated, silver- spooned men who didn't appreciate the simple things in life.
So, after the elevator finally started moving again, I cancelled the interview and let her believe I was someone I wasn’t—a bike messenger named Jay. I loved the way she looked at the fake me and didn't want it to end.
I began dating her as “Jay”—all the while letting her interview the real me over email.
I didn’t expect that our chemistry online would be just as hot.
I didn’t expect the mess I’d gotten myself into.
I didn’t expect that Jay and Dex would fall in love with her.
And she was falling for two men.
Only, both men were me.
And when she found out, we were both going to lose her.
Nothing could have prepared me for that day. And I certainly wasn't prepared for what came after.
All good things must come to an end, right?
Except our ending was one I didn't see coming.

  • Fabulous Book

Hang on to you seat! This book definitely has a few surprises in it's pages. Loved the story from beginning to end. Dex and Bianca had an uncertain beginning and an even rockier middle. But these two, have to be two of my favorites. Oh, and I loved the little cameo of Chance from the original Cocky Bastard book.

I'm a fan of most of their books but this storyline definitely was disappointing. After the beginning, it felt like they were trying to make the story work.. unfortunately then they added a twist in the middle that completely lost me.. after that I could not even imagine the story or characters the same. I was just disgusted. I'd opt out of this one.. sorry.

These authors are great writers. You don't need to be told that as you can see by how many books they have published. If you are looking for an easy read that's a feel good story then this book is for you.

These two authors never disappoint! I picture the two of them plotting out their story, laughing, thinking what's the craziest things we could do to our couple and then they do it! Bianca George had volunteered to interview Dexter "Mister Moneybags" Truitt for an article in Finance Times where she works. No one knows her real reason for volunteering but she was selected to interview the reclusive man who is finally revealing himself to the world. On the elevator ride up to his company's floor, the elevator stops working, the lights go out, and the fun begins. This scene was hysterical...I couldn't stop laughing. Dex has a smarta$$ quality to him which I just loved. Dex is really enjoying conversing with Bianca and is very interested in her until he realizes that she is the one that will be interviewing him and her opinion of him isn't very favorable...so what does Dex do???? Pretends to be someone else...Jay. Dex ends up cancelling the interview with Bianca but agrees to an email interview instead. This emailing turns into texting every night at 11:00 pm. Bianca is getting to know the real Dex and actually liking him....all the while....she is going on dates with Jay. The different situations that "Jay" went through was too funny. It was even funnier that Dex was jealous of Jay! LOL. Of course all secrets eventually get exposed and that's when the real fun begins. The path these two had to take to get to their happy ending was just crazy. Just when you'd think you had the story figured out...BOOM....here's a new curve. Overall, I just adored this book. The characters were so fun and real and the story was wonderful. I've loved every book these two authors have released and they are now an auto buy for me. Great job.....LOVED IT!

This was a fun read, I always enjoy the books that these two authors collaborate on. She is there to interview the owner of a huge successful company and gets stuck in the elevator. He is not dressed like a CEO and just happens to be stuck in the same elevator. He makes a split second decision to try and win her over. Good banter between our main characters was very engaging.

Blew it out of the water. What a fantastic book. Dex and Bianca were sizzling. When you think these two authors cannot come up with another creative, hot and sexy, humorous, heartfelt storyline, they sideswipe you with page after page of an amazing must read! Dex or Jay, whichever you'd prefer to refer to him sends you into a hormone frenzy. This man couldn't be anymore perfect. No, seriously! The first chapter had me so entertained, I could hardly contain the anticipation for what was about to take place as I read further on into the book. The imaginative form of communication between the main characters was witty and full of spunky banter. Needless to say, it left me with a huge smile, completely satisfied, and as usual; wondering when the next Five Star Best Seller from this dynamic duo will come out.

What a great love story. Couldn't stop reading even brought some tears. How the actions of others can affect one's life years down the road is telling. Great writing I look forward to the next book
  • One of the sweetest books I've ever read

This book had me giggling almost from the very first page. Like, REAL giggles that bubbled out of me without any thought to where I was or who might see me giggling like a loon at my Kindle. I can't tell you the last time that happened, but I can tell you that there's no better way to start a book. Full disclosure? I have not read the entire backlists of Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland (written individually or together), but this is BY FAR the most adorable book of theirs that I've had the pleasure to read. I read nearly the entire thing with this mega-watt ear to ear grin on my face, my heart pitter pattering happily as Bianca and Dex flirted and smoldered their way into one of the sweetest relationships I’ve ever read. I loved that Dex wasn’t your typical “Mister Moneybags”. He was hilarious and adorable, a little awkward and so genuine that it tugged at my heart and made it impossible not to almost immediately fall crazy in love with him. I loved how Bianca and Dex played off of each other – and WITH each other. The vast majority of their relationship was delightfully playful and fun – a complete joy to read. Were there bumps in the road? Yes. And if I’m being honest I loved the first half of this book more than the second half. There are some twists and turns in the second half that I totally didn’t see coming and sometimes felt UNCOMFORTABLE in the middle of this otherwise fun and saucy story. However, I also get that that uncomfortable feeling was the whole point of the twists and turns and I didn’t not like it. It definitely packed an emotional punch and tangled my feelings into a twisty mess. It was just a different overall tone from the first half and I enjoyed the lighter playfulness of the first half more. That said, the whole story is something really special. The love story hit me right in the feels in ALL the very best ways and I could not be more head over heels in love with the way things ended. This was another dynamic duo hit for me! ~ Shelly, 4.5 Stars ~~~ Oh Mr. Moneybags, I don’t even know where to start with this review. I experienced just about all the feels as I read it. I laughed over their crazy meet-cute. I cringed when Bianca ran her mouth. I shook my head in disbelief over Dex aka Jay and the choice to lie to her. I swooned over the sexy times between Bianca and Dex. I rooted for Bianca and Dex to figure it all out and realize they were perfect for each other. I loved their romance! Sigh. Alas, there were somethings that I didn’t like. I understood the purpose for adding them, but I didn’t like them… I really LOVED the first half of Mr. Moneybags. Actually, loved isn’t a strong enough feeling. Seriously. 10 Stars. And then the second half. I still liked it. A lot. But, yeah, I struggled with the plot. But in the end. I knew Ms. Keeland and Ms. Ward wouldn’t let me down. I knew Mr. Moneybags would have the perfect ending. And it did. It so did. It’s just that the road was a bit bumpy for me along the way. Missy, 4.5 stars

This is probably my favorite books of these authors. Judging by the reading hangover I had this morning, it was excellent! Lol I worked 12 hours. Came home & still stayed up to read it. Dex is fantastic! I loved how open & vulnerable he was with Bianca!
