Provocative and shocking.” —Lisa Gardner, New York Times bestselling author of Find Her

“I read this novel at one sitting, absolutely riveted by the storyline.  The suspense was beautifully rendered and unrelenting!” —Sue Grafton, New York Times bestselling author of X

It all started at a dinner party. . .

A domestic suspense debut about a young couple and their apparently friendly neighbors—a twisty, rollercoaster ride of lies, betrayal, and the secrets between husbands and wives. . .

Anne and Marco Conti seem to have it all—a loving relationship, a wonderful home, and their beautiful baby, Cora. But one night when they are at a dinner party next door, a terrible crime is committed. Suspicion immediately focuses on the parents. But the truth is a much more complicated story.

Inside the curtained house, an unsettling account of what actually happened unfolds. Detective Rasbach knows that the panicked couple is hiding something. Both Anne and Marco  soon discover that the other is keeping secrets, secrets they've kept for years.

What follows is the nerve-racking unraveling of a family—a chilling tale of  deception, duplicity, and unfaithfulness that will keep you breathless until the final shocking twist.

I loved the book. It's a great book, especially for people who love thrillers and mysteries. The ending made me a little upset, but other than that it was amazing. I finished it in a day.

I really liked this book. There were lots of plot twists - some I figured out but still didn't take away enjoyment of the book. You won't want to put it down. I sure didn't!

This book kept me on my toes from the very beginning. It seemed as if each chapter reveals more twists. The author does a great job with revealing each character and the end?! You will never see it coming.

  • Long & Drawn Out

While the plot is fascinating, repetitive descriptive narratives drag the scenario over many best-skipped pages. Too much fluff and not enough intrigue. The ending was completely unexpected, but what torture to the reader to reach it. In hindsight, a waste of my time & money.

Good book but became very repetitive at times. I wish she would have made us guess a bit more.
  • Pretty darn good

Overall a pretty good read, a bit pricey for how short it was but I had a wild twist and kept my interest I would give it 4.5🌟 out of 5 .. definitely worth the read !

  • Really good- better than The Girl on the Train

This book was well written. Fast paced for the most part and the action starts almost immediately sucking you in. The only complaint I would have is there is some repetitiveness with the inner dialogue moments. I began to sort of skim over those because they tended to reiterate what the character has already thought and didn't offer new information to the sorry. Otherwise, I loved the book. I had actually just read The Girl on the Train, and for me this was much, much better. ❤️
